How does Behavior Tracking work

Behavior tracking comes from three different types of plans:
- MMP (Medication Monitoring Plan)
- IG (interaction Guidelines)
- BSP (Behavior Support Plan)
An MMP focuses on whether the behaviors that are being focused on with medications are being controlled. For an IG, there specific behaviors, very close to a BSP, but there are no limitations. A BSP has specific behaviors along with limitations.
A person will only have one of the three plans, not all of them.
In IMPOWR, the master list of behaviors contains behaviors from all 3 types of plans. Client documents can be set up for each of the plan types.
When someone clicks on the icon to bring up the behavior support plan, it is somewhat generic in the sense that whichever behavior tracking plan some has, that will be the one which displays. For example, if you assign a person an MMP – it will display when you click the icon, and those behaviors will appear for selection when you go to log a behavior. Similarly, if you assign a person an IG - it will display when you click the icon, and its behaviors will display for selection when you go to log a behavior. The same occurs with BSPs.
The key is that there should only be ONE approved behavior plan at a given time, and it won’t matter which type it is (BSP, MMP, or IG). But, if a person has more than one – then only one of them will display when the icon is clicked.
