How do I setup the various Time Study work types

Article summary

Time Study Work Types are setup in the Configuration Reference Libraries (System > Settings & Security > Configuration > Reference Libraries).

Click on "Work Types" in the Client Employment & Income panel.

Categories

Create the Work Type Category, by clicking on the "New Category" button:

Enter a Category Name and optional sort order, then click Save:

Work Types

To add the Work Type, click on the '+' under the appropriate Work Type Category:

When you click the '+' to add the Work Type, a new window will open where you can enter in the specific work activity that falls under that work type category.

  • Enter the Name of the Work Type Activity

  • The Work TypeCategory should have populated, but if not, select the category this work activity falls under, from the drop down list

  • Choose whether the activity is active or not

  • Choose whether the activity can be used on contracts

  • Select whether the default method of measurement is time (Hours) or units (Piece), by choosing the appropriate entry from the Default Mode drop down list

  • Enter the Default Base Rate, if known

  • Enter the Default Training Rate, if known

  • Entere the Default Quantity, if desired

  • If the work activity is specific to a contract, select the contract by clicking on the contract Chooser button

Be sure to click Save to save your entries.
