How do I record donations

Access Donations menu

  • Click Donations

Upon opening, you will view all Donations

  • Determine if the Donor is an Individual, Organization or an Anonymous donor and click the respective tab

  • To add a new donation, click on the '+' button on either the Individual, Organization, or Anonymous tab
  • Choose an account (or an Organization) (The donor must be set up in IMPOWR in order for you to select them)
  • Select the campaign you want to apply the donation to
  • Choose the date
  • Select the type of donation
  • Enter the Amount (if the donation was made by check, you can enter the check number and check date)
  • If linked to a pledge, select Pledge and add the amount pledged. (When the dollars for the pledge are received, enter the method of payment, dollars received and link the pledge from the Towards Pledge field)
  • Enter an Appeal, if applicable
  • Enter a Target Fund if the donation is restricted to specific programs
  • If you are recognizing anyone, select if the donation is in honor or in memory of someone
  • And, if the donor wishes to remain anonymous, check that box
  • Optionally enter Comments
  • Click on Save
