Prior to having this privilege, if a user could edit (or add) a client document, they could also change the 'Type' dropdown and then once approved, the dropdown disabled. The problem is that not all users understood how it worked and thought they can change the Type and save, change the Type again and save again, etc. Thinking it created multiple documents when in fact it overwrote the existing document.
To fix that, a privilege for "overriding the client document Type" was created. The dropdown is enabled when the document is NOT approved/locked AND the person has this edit privilege.
The Privilege is set up here:
Without this privilege, the Type dropdown on the edit client document screen will always be disabled. With the privilege, it will only be enabled as long as the document is not approved.
