This release note update covers all the features and changes done between the dates of 6.28.2024 - 7.13.2024
What's New?
Incident Attribute Field and Reserved Words
Update: A new attribute field called "Detection" has been added for incidents. This field can be set to either "Discovered" or "Observed."
New Reserved Words: Four new reserved words have been introduced for incident management:
- [IncidentDetection]
- [IncidentMedicallyInvolved]
- [IncidentReportable]
- [IncidentRedFlagged]
Medicaid Eligibility Account Documentation
Update: A new type of account documentation, "Medicaid Eligibility," has been added as an extension of the existing account verifications.
Functionality: This feature introduces a new menu item for roles with the appropriate functional privilege. Selecting this menu item opens a page for basic Medicaid eligibility tracking.
Future Considerations: There is potential for future enhancements, such as integrating a form or assessment tool for eligibility or developing an eligibility questionnaire.
Usage: In the account details section, the new "Medicaid Eligibility" field allows for date selection to navigate to the verification screen.
This update provides a starting point for tracking Medicaid eligibility and sets the foundation for future developments.
Random Sample Selector on Ledger Page
Update: A Random Sample Selector has been added to the Ledger page.
Accessibility: This feature is available under Finance > Client Ledgers in the main menu.
Update: A new option has been added to the Randomized Ledger for generating a review set.
Functionality: On the sample screen, selecting the Generate Review Set option will tag ledgers with an audit set name.
Review and Edit:
- Filter: Use the audit set name as a filter to view members of the review group and their current status.
- Ledger Details: Click on a Ledger ID to edit and view the associated audits.
- Audit Details: Click on an Audit ID to access detailed audit information.
Med Error Review Report for Incident Management
New Report: A new report titled "Med Error Review" has been introduced for Med Error Incidents.
Accessibility:
- Popup Menu: The report is accessible from the popup menu shown for Med Error Incidents.
- Portal Grid: It is also available on the portal grid under the "Review and Approve" section.
- Report Scope: The Med Error Review report displays only incidents categorized as Med Errors.
Functionality:
- When generating the report, reserved words related to the incident, the client involved, and general terms are replaced with specific values.
- This enhancement provides a dedicated report for reviewing Med Error Incidents and offers customizable content for tailored reporting.
Introduction of Program Dashboard
A new program-specific dashboard can now be accessed via a new icon located at the top right corner of the Program Page.
This icon and associated dashboard will be visible only to users with the View Program privilege.
Intake Settings
A new Intake Settings page is now available under the Program Configuration section.
What's Improved?
Optional Staff Activity Notes
New Functionality: The user can now add optional notes for staff activity logs.
Export & Display: These notes are included in export files and can be displayed on-screen as needed.
Bulk Actions for Staff Action Plan List
What’s New: New bulk action options were added to the staff action plan list.

Treatment Plan Packages
Category Default: The default category has been changed to "All."
Selection Method: Automatic selection has been replaced with new selection buttons for improved user control.
Optional Staff Activity Tracking During Sessions
Feature: Staff activity tracking during sessions is now optional.
Default Setting: The default setting is "Not Used"
Configuration: This feature can be turned on or off through the program configuration settings.
Follow-Up Text Block for Medication Errors
Update: A follow-up text block has been added for medication errors.
Location: This new text block is located in the lower right corner of the interface.
Additional Column for Outing Import
Enhancement: An additional column has been added to the Outing Import.
Time Check Warning for Session Check-Out
Update: A time check warning has been added to help prevent early check-outs that could impact agency billing.
Purpose: This feature is designed to reduce the risk of missing out on full-day payments by providing a warning when a session is close to reaching the full duration.
Basic Setup: The time check warning is configured to activate based on the session's remaining duration. This can be found in Program Configuration, under Billing & Monthly Reporting Option
Optional Program Names Column on Care Plans/Life Plans Page
Enhancement: Modifications have been made to the Optional Program Names column on the Care Plans/Life Plans page.
Delimiter Change: The delimiter for creating a list has been changed from a comma to a different format for improved readability.
Name Display: Program names are now displayed as Account Programs.
Link Accessibility: The link to view Account Programs is only enabled for users with the appropriate privileges.
Care Plan Summary Page:
Program Name Link: The program name in the Optional Program column is now a link to the Account Program page. The link is enabled only for users with the privilege to view Account Programs.
DDP Status: A new checkbox has been added to optionally display the DDP status.
Half-Day Billing Opportunity QC Warnings
New Feature: Half-day billing opportunity QC warnings have been added.
Program Configuration: The half-day QC warnings can now be configured in the program settings.
Billing Opportunity Screen: A warning icon for half-day billing opportunities has been added to the Billing Opportunity screen.
Program Session Details Page: QC warnings for half-day billing opportunities are now visible on the Program Session Details page.
Engagement Log Enhancements
New Features:
- Division Filter: A new filter for divisions has been added to the Engagement Log.
- Optional Division Column: An optional column for divisions can now be displayed on the Engagement Log.
- Exclusive Option: An exclusive option has been introduced for refined data filtering.
Exclusive to a Program:
- Set Filter: Apply a filter for a specific program.
- Refresh with Exclusive Not Selected: Retrieve a list of all individuals enrolled in the selected program.
- Enable Exclusive and Refresh: When the exclusive option is enabled and refreshed, the list will show individuals in the selected program who are not enrolled in any other programs.
Exclusive to a Division:
- Set Filter: Apply a filter for a specific division.
- Refresh with Exclusive Not Selected: Retrieve a list of all individuals enrolled in any programs within the selected division.
- Enable Exclusive and Refresh: When the exclusive option is enabled and refreshed, the list will show individuals in the selected division who are not enrolled in any programs in other divisions.
Optional Current Programs Column for Data Cleanup
New Feature: An optional column displaying Current Programs has been added to the Data Cleanup page.
Purpose: This new column provides visibility into the programs an individual is currently enrolled in.
Benefit: Users performing data cleanup can now view current program details to facilitate communication with program managers for cleanup assistance.
Appointments and Clients Linked on Staff Availability Calendar
Enhancement: Appointments and Clients are now linked on the Staff Availability Calendar.
Functionality: Links are active only if the user has the respective privileges to view appointments and view accounts.
Program Workflow Banner Link Behavior
Enhancement: The behavior of links in the Program Workflow Banner has been updated.
Non-Impowr Links: Links that are not Impowr links will now open in a new tab.
Impowr Links: Impowr links will open in the same tab.
New Options for Account Status Wizard
New Feature: Five new options are available for the Account Status Wizard configuration.
Location: Configure these options under Configuration > Reference Libraries > Account Status Wizard Config.
Setup: These options must be added manually to the Account Status Wizard configuration.
Client Documents
New Feature: A new privilege, "Override Client Document Type," has been introduced to manage the TYPE dropdown functionality.
Location: This privilege is located under the Miscellaneous Privileges section.
Functionality: The TYPE dropdown will now be enabled only when the document is not approved or locked and the user has the "Override Client Document Type" privilege.
Program Deletion Workflow Enhancement
New Feature: A streamlined workflow has been introduced for managing program deletion.
Functionality: The system now checks for four types of data before allowing program deletion:
- Clients
- Referrals
- Contracts
- Incidents
Popup Notification: A popup will appear if any data is found, offering the option to Deactivate (set to Closed/Cancelled) the program.
Administrative Privilege: A new administrative privilege has been added to control access to the Delete button:
Privilege: Users with the new privilege can delete a program with data.
Default Access: Users without the privilege will only see the Deactivate button.
Programs
Additional Optional Columns: The following new columns have been added to the Client List tab:
- Phone
New Mailing List Export Option
A new selection option has been added to the client list export functionality. When selected, this option will include additional columns in the export file for the following details:
- Related client
- Client's enrolled program
- Emergency contact, provider, family member, or other individuals on the mailing list.
Clients
A direct link to the account dashboard has been added to the Client list view.
This feature is available only to users with the View Account privilege.
Reserved Words
New reserved words have been introduced to retrieve the account provider’s name. Use the following format: [AcctProvider:XXXXX]
Replace XXXXX with the specific provider role, such as "Geriatrician".
