Article summary

When behavior tracking is turned on for a program, several icons appear:

  • The first is a general one on the top header of the Staff Action - Work Queue

    • Click this to see all behaviors for all the people, and then you can pick a person and log a behavior
  • The second and third appear when you click a person’s action and they appear on the side panel of the Staff Action - Work Queue screen

    • Click the “BSP” icon to display their behavior support plan. (The BSP document type is configured in the Client Document Types in the Configuration Reference Libraries, and the BSP is created in the Client Documents.)
    • Click the little person icon to see the behavior log for that person. You can then add new behaviors by clicking “new behavior”.

The dropdown list of choices is all tracked behaviors (that are configured on the master Behavior List in the Configuration Reference Libraries) and are not specific to a person. Any person can have any behavior. Where the individualization comes in is when the reporting/analysis is done.

In other words there are 3 parts to this:

  1. A person has a BSP that sets various goals.
  2. They have a “log” that lists the various things that happened.
  3. The analysis combines those two into a meaningful report that looks at trends, whether goals were met or not, etc.

NOTE

Because the "BSP" has been created as a narrative form and is essentially a document that is not in a structured way with goals, etc., the Behavioral staff will need to relate the data on what behaviors occurred, how intense, frequency, etc.to do that analysis. Had the "BSP" been created as a structured form, the system would have been able to automatically tie the “actual” behaviors (from the log) with the "BSP".
