When a Staff Action Plan is created, there are various standard default settings and standard headers and footers of the plan, itself, which apply to that type of plan document. On occassion, there may be reasons to override those default agency settings.
The order of how the settings are applied is as follows:
- Overall Default (overall default is text only setting in the Care Plan Types in the Configuration Reference Libraries screen for that specific care plan type. It can be found in the "Additional Content" tab) and consists of the default header and footer text for the printable plan document. These settings are independent of any program which is selected.
Note that the Additional Content tab will only display if the Care Plan Type is set to have actions:
If no custom settings are entered, these settings will apply to a program, but if custom settings are entered in the program, the Overall Default Settings will be overwritten by Settings in the Program (e.g., 'Custom' settings).
The program level text header/footer and data collection checkbox Settings are found in the Program Operations tab of the program. [Most people will use these Custom Settings when they create Staff Action Plans.]
- The program settings will apply to any Staff Action Plan where that program has been selected UNLESS, Staff Action Plan level text header/footer and checkbox settings (e.g., 'Custom' settings) are selected. The Staff Action Plan settings are accessed by clicking on the Settings button.
When they are entered, they overwrite the program settings.
- Optionally enter your desired text for the Staff Action Plan printouts.
- Optionally select either the Default Data Entry Options (tied to the Custom settings in the programs), or the Custom Data Entry Options (those selected for that particular Staff Action Plan):
The selection of the Custom Data Entry Options in the Staff Action Plan will overwrite the Custom Data Entry Options from the program:
