Auto Deactivation of Old Plans
Sometimes people forget to deactivate old plans when a new plan is activated. This will prevent that common potential mistake.
When setting a Staff Action Plan to Active, the system will check to see if there is already an active plan for the same person and program.
- If there are not any, then the system will save the plan as usual.
- If there is one, then the system will pop up a dialog box identifying the existing Active Staff Action Plan and asking the user if they want to keep that plan as Active or proceed with the new plan. If 'Proceed' is selected, the system will deactivate the old plan and will activate the new one.
Prevention of activation of Draft plans
Sometimes people incorrectly activate draft plans. This will prevent that common potential mistake.
When a Staff Action Plan is in Draft mode, the system will not allow the plan to be set to Active.
If the user tries to set it to Active, the system will pop up a message with the reason why it is not being allowed.
Deactivation of Plans Converted to Draft
Sometimes people incorrectly approve and activate a Staff Action Plan. This will prevent that common potential mistake.
Administrators have a Staff Action Plan "un-approve" option. Upon deactivating the plan, the system will pop open a warning message to indicate that the plan will be deactivated - and then upon the selection to 'Proceed', the system will set the selected plan status to Inactive.
