How do I use Notification Policy Entity Qualifier Reserved Words

This article provides instructions on using Reserved Words for various Entity Qualifiers in Notification Policies.

The entering of Entity Qualifiers in Notification Policies is an Advanced
Level activity that is not for “casual users”. The entry of Qualifiers will
be restricted to advanced users who take the imPowr University SQL training
course.

NOTE: The codes for “FacilityType_pkey”, etc. are generally things users can
find on the configuration page, lookup lists.

Access Notification Policies in the Communication section of the Performance
menu:

• Click New to create your Notification Policy.
• Select Audit Notification.
• Enter the Name of your Audit Notification Policy.
• Click Apply to save your entries and activate the other sections of the page.
• Enter the When to Notify triggering event entity.
• Click on Add Entity Trigger.

• Click Choose to select your entity.

• Click if you want the notification triggered from Adds, Updates, or Deletes.

• Click Save.

Your When to Notify triggering event is now selected:

To enter a triggering event Entity Qualifier...

• Click on the Qualifier button which appears the right of the Selected Entity trigger.

• Enter the applicable Qualifier.
• Click Check Syntax to ensure you have entered the Reserved Word and logic properly.

• Click Save to apply your Qualifier.

Once applied, the Qualifier Button will be colored to indicate a Qualifier has
been entered and the entry of your Triggering Event is complete.

• Complete the remaining sections of the Notification Policy (When Activity Performed By, Who to Notify, and Message to Deliver).
• Add a Description and click the Active checkbox to activate the policy.

• Click Save.

You Notification Policy is now ready and waiting for a triggering event.
