How can I send an email using an email template

This article will explain how to email users using email templates.

If you want to send an email using an email template, how do you do that?

NOTE: This article assumes you already know how to create an email template, which is available via the Communication section in the Performance menu:

Users will need to have the appropriate security privileges granted to them
to be able to access this page and access Email Templates.

Access Mailing Lists via the Account Communication section in the Dashboards
menu.

  • Select a Mailing List by clicking on its ID.

NOTE: If a mailing list that you wish to use does not appear in the Mailing
Lists grid, you can create a new mailing list if you...

  • Click on New Organization List or New Account List.

  • Enter a Mailing List Name.

  • Optionally, select a Category from the drop-down list of categories.

  • Click Apply.

  • Click on the '+' icon to add organizations (if a New Organization List is being created) or accounts (if a New Account List is being created).

    • (Conversely, to remove accounts, select the name by clicking in the checkbox to the left of the organization or account ID and click on the '-' icon.)
  • Click Save.

  • Select the names of the organizations or individuals you wish to send the email template to by clicking in the box to the left of their ID.

Click the checkbox to the left of the word "ID", to select all organizations
or accounts.

A Send Standard Email window will display.

  • Select the Email Template to Send by selecting the template from the drop-down list.
  • Select whether you wish to Send to selected entries only or Send to all entries in the view.
  • Click Send.

The email template will now be sent to all those who you have selected who
have a valid email address.

NOTE: Prior to sending emails, it is recommended that you review the mailing
list to see the organizations or accounts which may be missing an email
address. You may wish to update the email address in imPowr before proceeding
with sending your email, or you may want to consider not selecting those
accounts or organizations when sending your email.
